Conference Extras and Treats

You’ve no idea how beautiful and peaceful this part of the world is in June.

Agatha Christie, The ABC Murders0

Following our own tradition, we have lots of treats and extras planned!

In partnership with the Bill Douglas Centre, we are pleased to offer delegates an exhibition of archived materials relating especially to film adaptations of Agatha Christie’s life and work.220px-agathaposter

An exclusive free screening of the classic 1979 movie, Agatha, starring Vanessa Redgrave
as Agatha Christie, will will take place at 5pm on Sunday 19 June, in Lecture Theatre One of the Queens Building, for early arriving delegates.  We are over the moon to confirm that Agatha‘s producer, Gavrik Losey, will introduce our screening. Gavrik has also agreed to answer questions following the screening. Afterwards, we’ll head out for an informal meal.

This precedes the conference because we have a full schedule — incorporating high quality papers, the exhibition, and networking opportunities — and to give delegates extra opportunities to appreciate the beauty of Exeter.

Extras in previous years have included:

2014. Exhibition of Tom Adams cover art prints, with guest appearance by Tom Adams.

2015. Exclusive VIP performance of Murder on the Nile, at the Exeter Little Theatre.
